Choosing Budget Household Software
We've used Quicken software for the last 13 years and have been very happy
with it.
Using this program has enabled us to keep track easily of our finances.
We post our receipts weekly into the software. Then we can run a
variety of reports which show us what we've spent in any category we choose
for any time period. It helps maintaining your budget very easy.
The software is easy to install and set up.
The biggest challenge is just training yourself to make a regular time to
enter your receipts into the computer. We found that a weekly update
keeps our finances in perfect order. Our account is always perfectly
balanced.
Using the Quicken software has also made our tax preparation a breeze.
Why? Because we can print out itemized expenses for any category we
choose and then include that in our tax file for that year. It
provides an easy way to cross check W2 and 1099 information as well as any
interest earnings.
There are other brands of budgeting software on the market, but for us
the Quicken program has been the best.
