5 iPhone Applications That Will Help You Save Money

Apple’s iPhone is quickly becoming one of the most versatile electronic devices on the market. The iPhone derives its malleability from the wide array of applications that can be used for anything imaginable. Many of the applications are gimmicks that should be ignored, but some of them can be quite useful. Some iPhone users have apps that are saving them money on an almost daily basis. Because of the portability of an iPhone, it is possible to carry a financial reference guide with you at all times. If you want to use your iPhone as a money-saver then you have to have these applications installed on it.

1. Currency Converter
When you buy items in foreign countries there is no reason for you to get ripped off because your mathematical abilities are limited. Travelers are often short-changed because they are unaware of how much they are spending in the foreign country. The iPhone converter accesses the currencies of over 200 countries and thereby stops you from being scammed into spending too much. It would be imprudent to travel without this application installed on your phone.

2. Speed Trap
This application notifies you of all the speed traps which are placed along the road. There is no longer any need to get fined hundreds of dollars for speeding, because you are given early notification of areas which are notorious for speed traps. The best way to avoid a speeding fine is still to stick to the limit, but this could help some drivers save a bit of money.

3. CompareMe
When deciding on which product to buy, CompareMe can make a massive difference. This application compares all the specs of two products and helps you to make an informed decision before spending your money. You no longer have to rely on the advice of a salesman who is trying to squeeze extra commission out of you. All the necessary research can be done with the touch of a few buttons. You can now save money by buying a product that will last longer and do a better job.

4. Owed
We often write off debts owed to us because we forget about them. With Owed, you can keep track of all the money that people have borrowed from you, thereby ensuring payment. Owed serves as a consistent reminder of the money which people need to pay back to you. The application helps you save money by reminding you to request it from your debtors.

5. Balance
The best way to save money is by not spending more than you have. With this application you can keep track of your bank balance and ensure that you never go into overdraft. If you go into overdraft you will need to pay interest on your debt and this is an unnecessary waste. The recent economic collapse illustrated the danger of excessive credit reliance, so there is no reason for you to fall into the same trap.

With all that our gadgets can do these days, why not use it to save you some money? You might even save enough to pay that cell phone bill!
