Something simple like just making dinner is nice and will be fun and cheap.
I usually do one of the ideas above (one of the homemade type things) and then I also do something else. Giver her a coupon that says good for one month worth of dishes, or bathroom cleaning, or vacuuming or something.
Doing this on its own might not be the most romantic thing in the world, but when coupled with something else, is usually a hit
Once, a long time ago, I gave my girlfriend a bunch of widflowers that I picked on the way to visit her before she started her shift as a coctail waitress. Unkown to me, she put them in a cup of water and carried them with her that nite on the serving tray. After explaining to many of her coustomers that “No, it’s not a new exotic dirnk” she confided in me that her tips were higher than normal that evening. Go Figure.
