If you’ve been reading our blog for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that we are really “do it yourself” types. Over the past few years, I’ve shared lots of ideas on things you can make yourself to save money. Here are the highlights of those ideas:

Make Your own Pizza. :: You can make a great pizza at home.

Make Your Own Pizza Bread:: I shared this wonderful recipe for pizza bread. It is a dish that my kids absolutely love. It does not last long around our house.

Make Your Own Gifts:: One of the most popular posts here at Not Made Of Money, I listed 50 gifts that you could make.

Make Your Own Easter Baskets:: With Easter coming up, this article will help you put together a great (but inexpensive) Easter basket.

:: Make Your Own Rain Barrel This idea came from a reader’s comment where she shared how to make a rain barrel.

Make Your Own Gift Baskets:: I shared how to make a basic gift basket and gave some ideas on different gift basket themes.

Make Frugal Meatless Meals:: A great way to stretch your food budget.

Make White Chicken Chili :: One of my very favorite recipes that I shared last year.

I love cooking and it’s a part of my life. When I go to my friend place, I always check their kitchen and cook with the stuffs found. They always like to eat the food that I prepare. It also help us to save us lots of money because if we eat outside, at least some dollars has to be spend and the food prepare by own is the best from all around the world. :)

Along the lines of making your own gifts, how about making your own cards? This is especially good for kids and birthday parties. One year my daughter was invited to 8 parties in one school year! Having her make cards for her friends saved us money and they were so much better than store bought cards!

In addition, for those of you with kids, these projects can offer a great way to spend quality time with your children, teach them a new skill, and just have fun.

I do all of the above with my son, including a lot of ther stuff.

And he loves every minute of it.

We make our own pizza most of the times for two reasons. 1. It is cheaper than buying it from a pizza place, certainly if I value my work at zero. 2. Our home made pizza tastes better since we have a gluten-free household and most store bought gluten-free baked goods taste like sand pasted together by some glue or water.
