Great Advice!

I have saved money by buying clothes at the end of each season-ie-buy summer suits duing close out when the new winter suits are being stocked-and visa versa.
Men's fashions do not change much-and I have stuck with the traditional blue and grey suits. I ususally get the new suits at 50% off regular price.

Thanks

I would agree with everything in this post, except for probably toys. I would only disagree because of two words--Black Friday.

Any item you are thinking of purchasing now that could remotely be given as a Christmas gift will more than likely have a great price on it on Black Friday.

Oh, and if you don't have the time nor patience to deal with the stores, just wait. Cyber Monday follows right after. That is where I plan on doing the majority of my Christmas shopping--from the comofrt of my own home, proboably in my pajamas!

I really like this advice and heads up about timely savings on purchases. I have found other helpful money saving articles and weekly deals, as well as some coupons at Pennypinchinghints.com.

Thank you for this great post! I was actually wondering when would be a good time to buy tires because I need a new set for my car so this is great. I will have to look around now and see who has the best promotion going on!

Another thing that you can find really cheap in October is Thanksgiving stuff. Usually right after the holiday is over, stores have 50% off or more. It's a great time to get some decor and other items for next year!
