You may need to haul the furniture yourself, though. Be sure to enlist the help of a friend with a truck when you go to inspect your potential purchase.

If answering ads on the internet doesn’t appeal to you, you can shop used furniture by checking out consignment stores in your area. Although you might pay a little more than you would pay by purchasing furniture directly from an individual, you can also enjoy the process of shopping in a store. You may even be able to make delivery arrangements.
