Money Saving Roundup – $5 Dinners, Save On Eating Out, Drugstore Savings, CVS February Deals

January 31st, 2009 · 2 Comments

I am so glad it is the weekend. It’s been a very busy week and I am looking forward to a weekend of rest. I’m off to do some shopping this morning and will be making the rounds at my local Target and Winn-Dixie. Here are some favorite posts I wanted to share from this past week:

$5 Dollar Dinners shares a recipe for Pork Roast and Mashed Red Potatoes. I absolutely love this site and really enjoy her meal ideas.

Stretching A Buck shares 5 ways to stretch a buck when eating out. I especially like her idea of eating breakfast or lunch out because their price tends to be cheaper.

Mommies With Cents has a nice little roundup of drugstore savings she found this past week.

Thrifty Momma has a great post detailing the deals and ECBs at CVS for the month of February. I’ll be making my trip to CVS this weekend and posting my finds as well.

Another great way to save at CVS is by using coupons or printable coupons. A site called Dealio has great CVS coupons that have saved me a ton. They also have current coupons and deals for my other favorite stores like Macy’s, Kohl’s, Target, Best Buy, Victoria’s Secret, and Barnes And Noble.

    Here’s the link if you’re interested. :)

$5 dinners is a great site. I found this deal, Buy One Entree, Get One Free at TGI Friday’s, that’s very similar. It seems with the impending economic doom we hear about every day on TV franchise restaurants are providing incentives for people to eat out. As long as they make it worth my while I don’t mind at all!
