Just like with any online store, glasses can be hit or miss. We're really great with our customers. They can return their frames for any reason - no questions asked. We also ask them to donate the used frames to the Lions Club so other, less fortunate, people can wear eyeglasses.

I've been buying from greateyeglasses.com and I've had really good luck. Just check your measurements first, before you order. I have a pair of glasses that are trashed, but fit me the best so I keep them around to measure from when I order online.

I would give it a go again, because you could order 3 pair online, get two good ones, and still be less than what you paid elsewhere.

Sorry to hear about your online experience. I've been wearing glasses since I was about 11 years old, and didn't know about any of these numbers and specs either. Until recently, when the laws changed and online prescription eyeglass sites popped up, this information wasn't readily available. As you've experienced, even when the consumer is armed with most of the info needed, you still probably need some help in custom fitting. I've had to do some "custom" fitting with my own glasses occasionally, even after they were fitted, so if you're good with doing handiwork, this won't be too difficult. But you really need some experience with glasses before you can get a sense of what is the most comfortable fit for you. I haven't bought any glasses online, but have been tempted, thanks for giving us your experiences.
