<description>This is great advice! It can be a challenge to identify needs from wants when it comes to a computer. With the demise of my beloved Apple Powerbook (after 6 long years it had gone well beyond the AppleCare insurance I bought for it) I had to get a new computer for school. I SO-HO-HOOOO wanted the fancy-pants new version of the Powerbook, the MacBook Pro! Still, I had to make the decision to get the regular MacBook, because it does everything I need and it leads to a smaller out-of-pocket expense. All in all, I am happy with the new machine, and it covers my needs.
