We have gone through two clippers in 15 years and saved hundreds if not thousands on my haircuts. I have gone to get my haircut over the years, but hate to wait and don't enjoy tipping when I didn't care for my service. My wife would never let me touch her hair, and I wouldn't, but imagine the savings that could be had :) My wife also cuts our kids hair. My wife has cut my hair since college and I love it. The students are supervised and we've always have good luck! You can also sign up for email coupons ($1 off an adult cut is usually what I usually receive) from chains like SuperCuts.
