Thanks for those handy tips. I think that online shopping is very convenient - especially when it comes to searching for something you may not be able to find in your local shops. It is also really handy just to have groceries delivered to your door, having chosen what you want with the mere click of a mouse.

Very useful tips! I think knowing what kind of information you should be most careful about on the Internet is also helpful, things like Social Security Number, any credit card or bank account information, date of birth and driver's license info. Beyond the web, the way most thieves get their hands on personal info is through stolen wallets, checkbooks and credit cards (according to the BBB). There are lots of resources out there to help learn more about how to protect yourself, like the Identity Theft Resource Center (http://idtheftcenter.org/), a non-profit online organization, or in guides like the one from Quicken Loans (https://www.quickenloans.com/education).

Great list. I'd also watch out for those scammy e-mails that act like they are sending it from the company your just shopped for. This kind of deals with your e-mail point BUT it's important that no one ever sends confidential info over e-mail.
