I mentioned last week that I would be detailing some of my purchases where I combined sales with coupons to maximize savings. I was able to get a couple of really good deals this past weekend so I thought I would pass them on.
First from Publix, the Motts Apple Juice (64 ounce size in the bottles) is buy one get one free this week. I had coupons from the 8-12 Valassis newspaper insert that were $1.00 off when you buy two bottles. I also found a coupon in the Publix “Summer Savings” flyer located at the front of the store. This coupon was also for $1.00 off when you purchase 2 Motts items. My Publix store let me combine this coupons so the numbers looked like this:
2 Bottles of Motts Juice (Buy One Get One Free) = $2.65
One Manufacturer Coupon for $1 off = -$1.00
One Publix Coupon for $1 off = -$1.00
Total cost for 2 bottles of Motts Juice = $.65 with a total cost per bottle of 32 cents. The great thing is that the store did not limit how many deals I could purchase.
The next great deal was at Target. I had manufacturer coupons for $2 off Post It notes. Target had a sale on Post It Notes which made them free after using the coupon. I also had a coupon for Bic Pens for $1 off when you purchase 2 packs. Target had a sale on Bic Pens that they were 2 packs for $1. So after using the coupon the pens were free as well.
