I was reading this article over on MSN Money about taking advantage of discounts that you qualify for. It was a good reminder to check our wallets for any discount cards we have and to make sure that we use them when we can.
We are members of AAA so we have been pretty faithful about using those discounts. Other discounts we have include a card to our local health food store which gets stamped with each purchase we make. After so many purchases we get a 20% discount good for the next purchase. Another discount card we have is to our local Christian bookstore. The card gets stamped each time we make a purchase and after 20 purchases we receive a 25% off shopping certificate. A third discount card we have is for a small watch repair store located in our local shopping mall. After purchasing a certain number of watch batteries, we will receive one watch battery free. With 5 of us in the family, and everyone wearing watches now, every little bit helps!

I found out sometimes that some businesses do not like to advertise discounts that they offer. So as the article states, don’t forget to ask.
