I was browsing at my local library last week and came across the book “Greatest Secrets Of The Coupon Mom” by Stephanie Nelson. I am familiar with the coupon site www.couponmom.com but never knew that the website owner had also authored a book!

The book details a very practical and easy method for reducing your costs on groceries. A specific strategy for dealing with coupons including finding, storing, and using them is provided. According to the author the key to saving money on groceries is to understand and use the following principles:

1. Know your grocery prices.
2. Know your store’s savings programs.
3. Know your grocery coupons.

The author mentions the best deals list that is on her website. This list is updated weekly and shows the best advertised sales items at grocery stores by state. It is simple to navigate to the list, choose the state you live in, pick the grocery store you shop at, and quickly get the best deals list which shows current sale items and recent coupons that you can use in conjunction with the sales to maximize your savings!

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to save money on their grocery purchases. The book should be available at your local library.
