5 Kitchen Appliances I Can’t Live Without

April 4th, 2007 · No Comments

I spend a lot of time in my kitchen. Probably too much time. However, there are 5 time saving appliances that I use very frequently and which I could not live without. Since I prepare nearly all our meals at home, they have saved me a lot of money, as well as a lot of time. Here they are in order of importance:

1. Crock Pot. The current one I have is several years old. It is a Hamilton Beach Meal Maker slow cooker. I use this at least 3 times per week and it has held up nicely.

2. Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker. I have the smaller sized one, since I only need to make 4 cups of coffee at a time. This is about 2 years old now and going strong. I love my morning coffee which I make using Starbuck’s Espresso Ground Roast that I purchase on sale at Target.

3. Bread machine. I love my bread machine. It is Toastmaster Bread Box bread machine. We enjoy fresh baked bread daily. This machine is about 3 years old and since I make a loaf of bread per day, I estimate that this machine has made over 1,000 loaves of bread. Awesome!

4. Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Machine. This is my newest purchase. It is about 1 year old and I use it daily. It makes a great big picture of iced tea. I like to combine the flavored teas with the traditional tea bags for a sweet pitcher of tea.

5. Blender. It is a Hamilton Beach model. This is my least used appliance but still an important one. I make a breakfast smoothie for the kids at least once per week. My current blender is about 5 years old and is on its last days. I will be shopping around soon to replace this.
