I found some interesting posts this week in the personal finance blogosphere. Here are some of my favorites:
Mighty Bargain Hunter (love the name) discusses planning for receiving an inheritance. Some good points to ponder if you know that you will be receiving a large sum.
Free Money Finance mentions a great money saving tip that few people use. I have to admit that lately I have not staked out my local used clothing store. For me it has been that the store is always extremely dirty and the last few times I’ve gone I have come away empty handed. I may put the store back on my “visit once a month list” but then again, maybe if I went more often I would have better luck.
The Simple Dollar gives step by step directions on how to make your own laundry detergent and save money. I want to give this a try and it is sure to be a fun experiment the kids will enjoy.
