Save money on food by having a “breakfast for dinner” one time per week. This can be as simple as cereal and juice, or include all the fixings like eggs, sausage, and homemade biscuits. My kids enjoy pancakes and so they think it is a great treat to have pancakes for dinner. I try to make special dessert muffins for a night like this to make the meal even more enjoyable.
Make a large batch of muffins on the weekend and put them in the freezer. During the week get them out of the freezer the night before you want to have them.  In the morning they will be defrosted and ready to go either for breakfast or as a snack later in the day.Â
