Price Comparison Worksheet – Getting The Grocery Bill Down

January 16th, 2007 · No Comments

Since we have decided to try and reduce our grocery bills and the expenses for household related items, I’ve developed a pricing worksheet. This worksheet is comprised of the items that we currently are purchasing and a price by store. Already, I have discovered that Cheerios are $1.90 less at Super Target than at the grocery store. It make take a while to visit all the stores in the area, but I figure I can check prices at a couple of stores for every weekend. I take a small wire bound notebook with me when I visit the store so that I can easily write down the item, the store name, and the price. I also make a date of the visit as well. I have the worksheet calculate unit prices which helps out when comparing items at the warehouse stores like Sam’s Club, where you have to buy in large quantities.
