I mentioned the other day that I was going to start checking out Gymboree and The Children’s Place clothes being auctioned on Ebay.Â
I’ve found that the brand names clothes are pretty popular, and I was quickly outbid on several different auctions. I have set up alerts which notify me when the size, brand, and style of item I am looking for is being auctioned, then I monitor that item. Some I have just watched out of interest. I’ve seen several “bidding” wars where the clothing went for much higher than I would have anticipated.  I’ve had to learn the “language” of the auction as well – NWT means “new with tags”; UC means “used condition”; and NWOT “new without tags”. Especially with the Gymboree clothing, I’ve seen quite a few auctions being advertised as “NWT” and the clothing is going for about 50% off what it could be purchased for at the Gymboree Store. Still, even at 50% off their clothing for children is expensive. It looks like a lot of gals (Moms I am guessing) are happy to pay 50% off for Gymboree clothing since it is a bargain compared to paying the full price in the store. I’ll be hunting through my local Salvation Army store and garage sales to look for Gymboree clothing. Maybe I will even end up selling them on Ebay!
