I went into my local Target today and saw that the Halloween stuff was 75% off. They had loads of candy and lots of costumes left. Here are some ways to turn your 75% off finds into great Christmas gifts.
Use the costumes as dress up clothes. I found lots of princess themes including crowns and fairy wands. These would be great for a little girls. Also for boys I saw a western theme, spiderman, and batman. You could put several different costumes together to make a “dress up” clothes gift basket.
For the candy you can buy several bags of the non-Halloween themed candies on clearance like kit-kat or nestle crunch. You may have to search through several different bags to find them. Anyway, get some of the little glass jars or mugs from the dollar store and fill them with candy that you got on sale from Halloween. Tie with a decorative ribbon for a great and inexpensive gift. You could also take a red stocking, personalize it with the recipient’s name and Christmas 2006, and then fill that with the candy.Â
