Christmas Ornament

Every year I buy a new christmas ornament for the kids.  I usually try to buy one of the Keepsake ones from Hallmark that are dated.  This way they will each have a unique collection of ornaments from their childhood. 

I’ve found lots of unique ornaments at the local dollar store.  I like the themed ornaments such as angels, or santas, or gingerbread men.  To find the best ornaments you usually have to start shopping early for the best selection (like now!).

We’ve also made ornaments for our tree.  I use the Christmas cards that people have sent us in the past and decorated them with glitter.  Then we punch a hole and tie a ribbon to the top of the card and that is how we hang the ornament on the tree.

We’ve even baked ornaments before using a gingerbread applesauce recipe…it makes the entire house smell really yummy.
