One of my newsletter readers wrote to me asking for some budget friendly recipes.  Let’s face it, by cooking at home you can definitely save money on your food bill.  One of the things I like to do is to imitate my favorite restaurant meals at home.  For example, our family likes to eat Mexican food.  So at home I make chicken fajitas or tortillas, bean burritos, mexican rice, and refried beans.  This is so simple to make and costs less than eating at a restaurant.  I like to “theme” my meals around a favorite restaurant or type of food, then it makes it easy to put it all together.
